About twenty years ago I showed my mother a txt file copy of William Shakespeare‘s complete works. To my surprise, the committed old bibliophile all but wept. I thought at the time that she was being rather over the top about it all. These days, I’m not so sure. I have far more mp3, PDF, ePub, cbr, and simular digital file formats than I have print books, and I have several hundred of those.
While I don’t think paper books will disappear, I do wonder what we are giving up. I doubt the trade is either conscience or worth it.
