Everything You Never Wanted to Know About MLA Formatting

This blog entry is for my JCTC English 101 and 102 students, although it can be useful to other students as well. You will need to click on the linked title above, as the entry is step-up to give a preview on the homepage because of its length.

There is an old saying among teachers; “Teacher trumps style manual.” This is to say that most of the time; the standard MLA (or APA, Chicago, ect.) guidelines will do the student fine in most classes. But, if your particular teacher has given the students supplemental formatting instructions, as I have in my classes, “Always follow your instructor’s guidelines.” (Stolley)
